Radovan Marčić, managing director and journalist, has staged some 50 theatre performances, writes screenplays and directs commercials and documentary films. In these projects he is often the producer. Since childhood he has been passionately attached to the sea and at the beginning of the 80s he began to cruise the Adriatic on his sailing boat. He has literally sailed to every corner of the Adriatic shore and its islands. Discovering the Croatian littoral and his companionship with men of the sea have been among the most significant things in his life. He is one of the initiators and has been editor for fifteen years of the magazine “More” (Sea), the most important nautical journal in Croatia. He has written the following books: Peljar hrvatskog Jadrana, 1300 planova luka, lučica i uvala hrvatskog jadrana (Nautical Pilot of the Croatian Adriatic Sea, 1300 plans of harbours, boat docks and bays of the Croatian Adriatic Sea) , Gustoza đita (A Gourmet Cruise: the Adriatic good food pilot) (translated into four languages) and Poslanice sladokuscima (Epistles to Connoisseurs). His texts on the theatre, about the sea and about gastronomy have been published in many reviews, weeklies and daily papers. He has edited some 20 books for various publishers dealing with the themes of the sea and gastronomy. He lives in Zagreb and Mali Lošinj.
